Established in 1987, Jumbo Projects is a family-owned, proudly South African business with deep roots in crane hire and rigging. Guided by three generations of experience in the transport and lifting industry, we have grown into one of the most trusted names in heavy lifting solutions.

The Projects Division

In 2009, Jumbo Projects established its dedicated Projects Division to expand our capabilities beyond crane hire and machine moving. Its first appointment was to support the Transnet NMPP fuel line project, where the team was tasked with supplying crane trucks for pipe welding operations. Through consistent service delivery, equipment versatility, and a strong on-site presence, the division quickly proved its value. This success resulted in an expanded role, which grew to include the transport and storage of pipes, pipe laying, and additional support services. Today, the Projects Division continues to build on this foundation, applying the same commitment to excellence across a wide range of large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects.
